This is a very special prototype instrument crafted from old growth Pine reclaimed from 1920-50's construction in the Los Angeles area. The trees themselves would have started life as early as the turn of the 19th century. This wood is nothing like the modern pine available today. It Is tight grained and highly stable. It has a tap tone very similar to mahogany. These quarter sawn pieces were hand selected by Breezee and the center was cut from a massive 6x6" beam.
